I am indeed thrilled to know that infertility can now be
treated. As infertility makes couples incapable of conceiving, Surrogacy in India does just the
opposite i.e. it makes parenting possible for them. Surrogacy is a concept in
which another female gives birth to a child for an infertile couple. Here the female’s
who gives birth are called as the surrogate mother and the infertile couple is
called as the intended parents.
Surrogacy has made millions of dreams come true. I will
brief you about how this procedure is performed. The eggs and sperms of
intended mother and father are collected respectively. They are made to fertilize in a laboratory
setting. Once that they are fertilized it leads to the formation of an embryo,
which is then transferred into the surrogates womb. She carries pregnancy to
terms. The child is going to belong to the intended parents legally as well as
biologically.
Though surrogacy in itself is a great concept but what drew
my attention to this method is the surrogate mother. I mean can you just
imagine existence of such a generous heart in today’s world. On one side there
are men who are killing one another for money, rivalry and what not, in
contrast to this are the surrogates who help infertile couples and give birth
to a new life.
Kudos to all the surrogate mothers out there!
Along with surrogacy, egg donation in India has also helped couples in conceiving. In egg
donation, a young Indian female donates her eggs to a female who has missing
ovaries, poor quality of eggs or any other reason for which she cannot produce
healthy eggs.
It brings great contentment to know that now every
infertile couple’s life will glow with the smile of their very own child.
