Instrumental increase in the international patients coming for surrogacy in India..

The Surrogacy is the arrangement in which a woman carries and delivers a baby for another couple. Surrogacy in Indiais popular all over the globe. Couples from all over the world are coming forward to have surrogacy treatment in India.  Cost is the biggest advantage of having surrogacy in India as the cost is very low as compared to any other developed countries. Different types of surrogacy which are conducted by the surrogacy in India are as follows:
  1. Traditional Surrogacy – This type of surrogacy involves artificial inseminating surrogate mother with intended father sperm via home insemination, IVF, IUI. By this process, the new born child genetically related to the surrogate mother.
  2. Gestational Surrogacy – This surrogacy is the most preferred surrogacy in India and adopted by 1/3 of the couples who wanted to adopt surrogacy When the intended mother is not able to carry a baby to term due to hysterectomy, diabetes, cancer, etc., her egg and the intended father's sperm are used to create an embryo that is transferred into and carried by the surrogate mother. The surrogate mother has no genetic relation with the child but the resulting child is genetically related to its parents.
  3. Gestational Surrogacy and egg donation –Surrogate mother carries an embryo which is developed from the donor egg that is been fertilized by the sperm from the intended father.
  4. Gestational Surrogacy and donor sperm – A new born child is genetically related to the surrogate mother who has no relation with him or with the intended mother.
  5. Gestational Surrogacy and donor embryo – The surrogate mother carry a donated embryo when the intended parents are not able to produce egg, sperm and embryo.
  6. Traditional Surrogacy and donor sperm – The surrogate mother is artificial inseminated with the donor sperm in this process.
Because of some medical reasons if the uterus is removed, Due to premature menopause, the problem of ovulation arises, women uterus is damaged or malfunctioned and incapable of carrying a pregnancy, problem of failed IVF cycles and repetition in miscarriages, same sex couples, single women and single men are also some of the reasons for adopting surrogacy treatment.
